Fcubed leads a Mutual Learning workshop on financing framework for EES
On 6th July 2020, Funding for Future B.V. (“Fcubed”) led a workshop with project partners to discuss a framework for financing of the Energy Efficiency Subscription (“EES”) developed under the EUROPA project
As the lead financing partner in the consortium, Fcubed has international experience of managing private finance initiatives for building renovation across Europe. The purpose of the workshop was for partners to agree on the approach in engaging with local Financial Institutions and seek feedback for financing under the proposed EES.
The EES model developed under the EUROPA project presents a unique investment opportunity for private capital to be deployed for mass building renovation. The scheme ensures a standardized process for building renovation, generating sustainable returns of projects whilst the credit risk is kept to a minimum. Private sector investment is absolutely crucial to achieve anywhere near the targets set for CO2 reduction under the Green Deal.
